3 Tricks for Better Success
With a gameplay video on the TikTok account, the eSports team “Los Angeles Guerrillas” addresses controller players in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The team shares a few ways to improve your gameplay in 30 seconds:
- Adjust Field of View
- Spam aiming
- Utilize aim assist
To better control recoil, the player in the video recommends setting the Field of View to 105. Anything above that makes it harder to control the weapon. It also makes enemies appear smaller, thus reducing aim assist. A smaller FoV “forgives” inaccurate shots more.
If the player aims for too long, the weapon will shift away from the target – your crosshair moves around the target point. The trick is to “spam” aiming to reduce deviation – until your target is in the crosshair.
To fully utilize aim assist, it is advisable to move the left stick left or right while aiming. This way, you utilize the “rotation aim assist,” where your character slightly rotates with the opponent and follows (also works from the hip).
On TikTok, La Guerrillas explains the tricks mentioned:
How to rank up in the leaderboard? In the competitive mode, there are two ways to rank up. By playing matches, you earn a skill rating that determines which of the eight divisions you are assigned to – depending on your performance. You start at the beginning of Season 3 in the Bronze Division, the highest being “Top 250”.
In addition, you level up your rank. Each victory earns the player a star. The more stars you accumulate, the higher your rank. You receive a new rank symbol in increments of five, which has the color of the division. You can learn more about the mode on the “Call of Duty” website.
