Being shot by a good player in a fast shooter like Apex Legends can be quite frustrating. However, if you observe some tricks from the pros, you might soon be on the other end of the gun.
What kind of clip is this? Apex pro Brandon “Ace” Winn displayed some pretty impressive scenes in his stream, and did it all without cheats. In one of them, he takes down an entire enemy team.
While his good aim certainly plays a role, especially his use of the environment and his anticipation of what the opponent will do are crucial. You can see him dodging enemies multiple times to heal himself and then taking them out one by one.
The clip starts with him taking out an opponent. To avoid becoming a victim himself, he then escapes over a wall and a gas cloud that obscures the view, onto a rooftop to recharge his shields. At that moment, one of his own teammates is finally killed.
He uses this knowledge to kill the enemy standing there now. Since he assumes that the remaining Caustic will do the same, he retreats and seeks cover under fire.
However, he soon leaves the cover again to confuse the opponent with several wall jumps. As Caustic feels confident from the previous hits, he rushes forward and falls right into Ace’s trap, who likely anticipated that he would pursue him.
These tricks you can learn from the pro

The movements may look complicated, but they are actually quite easy. If you know how to utilize the environment, you can also perform such acrobatic tricks. You should check out our tips for better movement in Apex Legends.
High accuracy is ultimately what many players probably lack and what can even impress pros. However, it can be trained or compensated for. In this situation, shotguns could have also secured the victory and require somewhat less practice in aiming.
Do you want to test your skills a bit? Especially with shotguns, this now becomes easier, as a new event mode brings only sniper rifles and shotguns to the canyon:
