The DMR 14 is currently the weapon of the hour in Call of Duty: Warzone. The tactical rifle was introduced thanks to Black Ops Cold War in the battle royale. Many players are calling for a nerf, but that might not be enough.
This is the situation with the DMR 14: With the start of Season 1 in Warzone, the weapons from Cold War were also added. This includes the DMR 14 and this weapon has particularly shaken up the meta.
The rifle takes down players with 2 shots and almost everyone runs around with the DMR 14 in the endgame. It is considered OP and rightly so.
OP weapons are often nerfed in Warzone and some players wish for such a nerf for the DMR 14 as well.
A single nerf is probably not enough for the DMR 14
This could mean a nerf: There have already been some powerful weapons that were completely devalued by a nerf and the same fate could befall the DMR 14.
A nerf could make the weapons worthless, but at that moment, the hour for the next rifle strikes: The Type 63. This is also a type of DMR that is incredibly strong in Season 1, but is overshadowed by the DMR 14.
The YouTuber and CoD pro Nickmercs explains that this weapon could really shine if the DMR 14 is nerfed. He says: ‘The Type 63 is almost identical, just with a little more recoil.’
So if the DMR 14 is removed, people will jump on the Type 63, which is also OP, according to Nickmercs. If you nerf the DMR 14, you also have to weaken the Type 63, otherwise you’ll have the next OP weapon in Warzone right away.
What would be the solution? Nickmercs already has the right answer: ‘Buff more weapons from Cold War’. This would provide a larger selection and a single weapon would no longer dominate. In return, one wouldn’t have to nerf any rifle anymore.
Regardless of the DMR 14, there is currently another weapon that is popular:
