With the right attachments, the weapons in Call of Duty: Warzone can become real monsters. Pro player Nick “Nickmercs” Kolcheff has showcased his build for an assault rifle that everyone has in their arsenal: the Kilo 141 – virtually no recoil.
What is this build? With the right attachments at the gunsmith, pro Nickmercs builds an assault rifle from the Kilo 141 that hardly pulls. It shoots so accurately and has so little recoil that it resembles a laser.
Nickmercs uses the weapon in his stream and shows how he scores an impressive 18 kills with the Kilo. The Kilo is already one of the top weapons in Warzone and even ranks 4th among the most popular assault rifles.
Who is Nickmercs? Nickmercs is one of the biggest CoD streamers and is part of the FaZe Clan, one of the largest eSports organizations in Call of Duty. He was regarded as one of the best controller players in Fortnite and is currently highly active in Warzone. Nickmercs even received a mysterious package that may leak the start of Season 5.
“No Recoil” build for the Kilo 141
Here’s how to recreate the build: You need the following 5 attachments:
- Muzzle: Silencer (Monolith)
- Barrel: Singuard Arms 19.8″ Hider
- Scope: VLK 3.0x Scope
- Underbarrel: Command Grip
- Ammunition: 60-Round Magazine
The Monolith Silencer is now a standard option to increase weapon damage at range and muffle shots. The barrel and the scope are designed to make the weapon extremely accurate over long distances.
With the Command Grip, you have the attachment that is crucial for the “laser” characteristics. It helps you control the weapon best.
You can install an even larger magazine on the Kilo, but you will lose more mobility and increase the reload time, which can quickly become a problem.
What are the advantages? The 60-Round Magazine offers you consistent damage, and you can take out multiple enemies in succession. After just a few shots, it hardly pulls anymore and hits almost precisely. It behaves similarly to the M13 in its laser setup, but it has one big additional advantage.
Because the best thing about this setup is that even new players can quickly unlock it – the Kilo 141 is the first assault rifle, and you don’t have to unlock it first. Once you are allowed to adjust your loadouts starting from level 4, the weapon is available. You can start using it immediately and level it for attachments.
This makes the Kilo the ideal beginner weapon for Modern Warfare, which is still excellent for veterans. With this build, you can even use it in Battle Royale and easily shred opponents, especially at medium to long ranges. Here’s the weapon in action in Nickmercs’ video:
What are the disadvantages? Although the Kilo is strong even at long ranges with the laser build, it is outperformed by some other weapons – such as the Bruen MK9. Nickmercs also emphasizes that he believes the Bruen is the absolutely strongest weapon in Warzone.
Pro player Vikkstar recently demonstrated why the Bruen is so strong. Unlike the Kilo, where you give an assault rifle certain LMG characteristics, it is the other way around with the Bruen. It possesses the high penetration power of an LMG and is then enhanced with the mobility of an assault rifle.
This makes the Bruen objectively the stronger choice, which can even outshine the laser Kilo. However, you need to unlock the Bruen through a challenge which is quite cumbersome in the Free2Play variant of Warzone. The Kilo is available to you right away.
