President Knabe, head of the e-sports team Eintracht Spandau for League of Legends, must now defend himself in court in the conflict surrounding Jo Gerner. The accusation: mafia-like activities. A court trial is to provide clarification and mediation.
This is the background: President Knabe rented a restaurant in the district of Spandau to transform it into the Spandauer Bock, a fan pub for Eintracht Spandau. His landlord is Prof. Dr. Dr. and also lawyer Jo Gerner.
The Eintracht Spandau Ultras, a particularly dedicated fan group of the club, are said to regularly go in and out of the pub and terrorize the neighborhood with regular loud escapades.
Jo Gerner, through numerous complaints from the neighborhood, demanded that President Knabe vacate the pub. Since the president did not comply with this request, Jo Gerner is now suing President Knabe for 30,000 euros in damages and accusing him of mafia-like activities.
The Spandauer Bock is supposed to, according to him, not be a fan pub, but rather represent the headquarters for criminal activities. Its alleged leader: President Knabe himself.
On Monday, May 26, 2025, the court trial was uploaded as a YouTube video before the Berlin court and judge Aria Alesch.
President Knabe must defend himself in court
How did the trial proceed? Esther Graf, as a customs officer, was the first witness and provided a clue to strange occurrences in the Spandauer Bock with her recorded video. She was able to capture two figures on video who were in the pub’s basement at night and quickly ran away when approached.
For Jo Gerner, it was clear: this was about illegal human trafficking.
However, President Knabe vehemently denied these allegations. His response: two of his players like to stay in the building to train. They feel more comfortable there and have better internet than at home.
Another witness, a local resident, described the Ultras as “very nice young people.” In her opinion, the fan group would even have a positive influence on the district.
But then came the turnaround: the alleged witness turned out to actually be President Knabe’s mother. Thus, she was excluded from the trial due to bias.
How did the trial end? At the end, the last witness took the stand: Marvin Game. After admitting to a number of crimes he allegedly committed as a former member of the Eintracht Spandau Ultras, he openly accused President Knabe of being the leader of these activities.
However, through his upset girlfriend, who suddenly stormed into the courtroom, it was revealed that Marvin Game had allegedly been bribed by Jo Gerner to make a false statement in favor of the lawyer.
Judge Aria Alesch handed down her verdict and dismissed Jo Gerner’s lawsuit. The Spandauer Bock may continue to operate and be used by the Eintracht Spandau Ultras.

“Best Crossover”
What’s behind it? This video connects several things together:
- Good Times, Bad Times: The background of this conflict lies in a storyline from GZSZ. The role of Jo Gerner (played by Wolfgang Bahro) comes from this series, and HandOfBlood has made several appearances as President Knabe in the show. This video represents another step, if not the conclusion, of the conflicts between President Knabe and Jo Gerner.
- Judge Barbara Salesch: The German cult series aired from 1999 to 2012 on SAT.1 in German television. It was a pseudo-documentary court show and presented fictional court cases. Aria Addams plays the parody Aria Alesch here.
- HandOfBlood’s role as President Knabe: HandOfBlood has repeatedly taken on the role of President Knabe since the founding of his own e-sports club. It is an exaggerated version of a brash football coach.
How does the community react? The community is excited in the YouTube comments of the video:
- @morrtoversal writes: “This video is an absolute (fever) dream. Best crossover”
- @elinalee5589 thinks: “Aria does it so well I can’t stop laughing”
- @ARMYforLife finds: “Awesome video, I had a great time – even with the ad blocks! E IN S is just the best channel!”
