What is the current situation? Today, at 1 PM, the third pre-order wave for the PS5 was supposed to start at Amazon and other retailers. However, suddenly there are new consoles available through third-party sellers on sites like eBay, but at absurd scalper prices!

What are scalpers asking for? On eBay, you can currently bid on various PlayStation 5 consoles. The problem is the prices. While the cheapest offer at 650 Euros is still somewhat affordable, prices quickly rise from there.
- Various consoles are available for one and a half times the value at 750 Euros
- Many PS5 models are going for 800 to 900 Euros
- Finally, models are offered for 1,000 Euros or more
The highest price so far is 2,500 Euros, which a user is asking for a PS5 on eBay. However, they at least include the game Demon Souls and offer free delivery until November 24. Even to parcel stations!
Compared to the 10,000 Euros that another scalper once asked for a pre-ordered PS5, these prices are still a bargain.
Fans say: Of course, such scams are not well received by PlayStation 5 fans. Because these pre-order actions with limited quantities always attract unscrupulous entrepreneurs who want to profit from the desperation of fans who were left empty-handed.
