Black Desert Online (PC) is coming soon to Xbox One and Xbox One X. Thanks to 4K and 60 FPS, the Korean sandbox MMORPG looks extremely elegant and beautiful on Microsoft’s improved version of the console!
Black Desert Online is currently only available for PC and as a mobile version in Asia for smartphones and tablets. However, the developers at Pearl Abyss plan to offer a port of the sandbox MMORPG for Microsoft’s Xbox One and the enhanced Xbox One X soon.
At the Game Developers Conference 2018 in San Francisco, a playable version on the Xbox One X could already be tried out.
Just as beautiful as on a high-end PC
Black Desert Online is a true graphical marvel and one of the most beautiful MMORPGs currently available for PC. This starts with the character editor and continues in the game. Both the landscapes, the effects, the animations, and the entire ambiance are simply stunning.
However, some critics of Black Desert point out that objects appear suddenly and unexpectedly – creating a pop-in effect.
Those who feared that the strong points of Black Desert on the Xbox One X would not shine can rest easy. In a video from the Game Developers Conference, you can see for 13 minutes how a delicate elf ranger slaughters a horde of enemies with her awakening weapons. Later, a mage appears, who clears out with her spells. You can truly see breathtaking magical effects.
The scenery is said to run at 60 FPS and shine in beautiful 4K on the new Xbox One X.
Action Combat System Optimal for Controller
The action combat system of Black Desert seems to be easily controlled with the controller. In the video, the elf ranger confidently slaughters through the hordes of enemies. The mage’s combat spells effectively eliminate enemies in rows.
There seem to be no problems with the controls. The dynamic combat system is well-suited for gamepads.
An exact release date for the Xbox version is not yet known. However, it is expected to be released in summer 2018. Due to a deal with Microsoft, the PS4 version will come later.
The mobile version of Black Desert Online may also come to the Nintendo Switch!
