In Pokémon GO, a new event is on the horizon. Here you can look forward to a Pokémon debut and a monster that is appearing as Shiny for the first time.
What kind of event is this? The first event of the new season is called “Powerful Skills.” It starts on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at 10:00 AM and runs until Monday, March 10, 2025, at 8:00 PM.
While the event focuses on hatching eggs, you can also look forward to a new Special Research featuring a new monster. The event also brings some Dyna-Raids.

Which Pokémon is making its Shiny debut? In the event, you can obtain Knarbon as Shiny for the first time. You will find the Pokémon in 2 km, 5 km, 7 km, and 10 km eggs. You can evolve Knarbon into 2 different Pokémon.
Which new Pokémon will appear with the event? With the start of the event, a new Special Research will be unlocked, which you will receive for free. This will focus on Dakuma, the legendary fighting Pokémon from Generation 8, which you will also receive in the Special Research.
What bonuses will there be in the event? If you place eggs in incubators during the event, you will benefit from a halved hatch distance. If you complete the free, time-limited research of the event, the bonus can be further strengthened and eggs will hatch four times faster.
What else is there in the limited research? In addition to the increased egg bonus upon completing the limited research, you can also receive Knarbon encounters and various items as rewards within the research.

What other content is available in the event? In the event, there are various field researches that you can complete. You can receive various Pokémon from the event as rewards.
Additionally, there is a ticket that you can purchase for $8 (approximately 8 €). Here you will receive another Special Research, which will reward you with a Dynamax-Dakuma, a smoke, two Premium Battle Passes, a Star Piece, and encounters with seasonal Pokémon.
