After several successful years, with multiple titles on the gaming market, a horror franchise now wants to join the big screen. For this, Five Nights at Freddy’s has enlisted the producer who has been responsible for hit movies like M3GAN and Insidious in recent years.
Real adaptations of video games and animations are on the rise. The movie for Five Nights at Freddy’s is coming in 2023, fitting for the spooky season, on October 26 in theaters, making it perfect for your watchlist for a successful Halloween evening.
Do you already know Foxy, Bonnie, Chicka and Freddy?
In the current trailer for the film, you get a good insight into the story that awaits you.
Mike Schmidt, played by Josh Hutcherson, is offered a new job as a night guard at the abandoned “Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria.” He is assured that it’s child’s play. To keep custody of his little sister, Mike takes the job and quickly realizes that it might not be as easy as it seems.
On his first day, he meets the mascots of the theme restaurant: Foxy, Bonnie, Chicka, and Freddy. Four animatronics in the form of a fox, rabbit, chick, and bear, who may have looked cute in their good years, but now appear more like they have emerged from a nightmare.
The nights at Freddy’s lead Mike to unexplained encounters with the supernatural as the figures come to life and wander through the restaurant in search of a victim for their games.
As you learn in the trailer, several years ago, children mysteriously disappeared in the area around Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria. Whether the spirits of these children are now trapped in the animatronics and how to stop them, you will find out in the film.
Whether the film can keep up with the popular horror games remains to be seen.
