The current player counts of Payday 2 are also impressive. The title had more than 34,000 average players in the last 30 days (via SteamCharts). This is not an unusually high value for the popular game. Since January 2020, Payday 2 has averaged 29,985 players.
With currently 36,000 active players, Payday 2 is even ranked higher on the SteamCharts than titles like New World, DayZ, Rainbow Six: Siege, and Hunt: Showdown (via SteamCharts).
