Soon there will be a new addon for World of Warcraft. We use this time to ask: Which expansion was actually the best?
The current expansion of World of Warcraft is in its final stages. The Burning Legion has been defeated and basically everyone has already started preparing for the next addon “Battle for Azeroth”. The release is set to happen in less than four months.
We use the remaining time to reflect and think back on the last years of World of Warcraft. Which expansion was the coolest? At what point did you have the most fun in World of Warcraft or which feature introduction convinced you the most?
Which addon brought the most fun in WoW?
- Classic / Vanilla: An unknown world with rough edges – it lacked polish, but everything was big, new, and unknown.
- The Burning Crusade: Flying mounts, shamans and paladins for both factions, and the reckoning with Illidan.
- Wrath of the Lich King: Death knights, the fight against Arthas, and the introduction of different raid difficulty levels.
- Cataclysm: Flying in the old world, revamped quests in old zones, raid finder, and archaeology.
- Mists of Pandaria: Monks as a new class, the continent of Pandaria, and a lot of daily quests.
- Warlords of Draenor: Garrisons, stories surrounding the “classic” Horde, garrisons, PvP area Ashran, garrisons.
- Legion: Scaling areas with dense storylines, demon hunters as a new class, artifact weapons.
