Last week, a new Pokémon game was released. And in celebration of the day, there is also an event in Pokémon GO.
What is Pokopia? With Pokopia, a new game in the Pokémon world has been released, which takes a different approach than other releases of the franchise. Correspondingly, Pokémon GO is also taking the opportunity and starting on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at 10:00 AM, the Pokémon Pokopia Celebration Event. It will run until Monday, March 16, 2026, at 8:00 PM.
In line with Pokopia, Ditto is at the center of the event. However, the event also brings other content. Among other things, there is an increased shiny chance for 2 monsters.
All Event Content
Where can I find Ditto in the event? Ditto can be found, as always, in the form of other monsters into which the little monster has transformed. The rotation of the monsters into which Ditto can transform will change with the start of the event. Which Pokémon those are has not yet been revealed.
However, it is known that you can find Ditto in 2 costumed forms that have not yet been in the game. These are Ditto with a hat and Ditto with a cap. Both costumed variants can also appear as shiny and with a special background.
What bonuses are there in the event? If you encounter Sudowoodo and Zorua in the wild during the event, you can look forward to an increased chance of receiving the two monsters as shiny.
Additionally, you will receive double the amount of experience points when spinning PokéStops during the celebration. For the first spin of a stop of the day, you will even receive 10 times the amount of experience points.
Which monsters are there in the wild? The following monsters are waiting in the wild to be found by you:
- Bulbasaur*
- Charmander*
- Squirtle*
- Pikachu*
- Sudowoodo*
- Zorua*
Here, Sudowoodo and Zorua, with their increased shiny chance, are likely to be the most interesting for many trainers who focus on collecting monsters.
Which monsters are there in raids? In 3-star raids, you can also challenge, defeat, and add the following Pokémon to your collection:
- Lapras*
- Snorlax*
- Dragonite*
All monsters marked with a * can also appear as shiny.
What other content is there? There is also a limited research task where you can receive stardust, stickers, and encounters with event monsters as part of the event.
If you visit PokéStops, you can also receive event field researches that reward you with items, stardust, or more event monsters.
Collectors challenges will also be active, where you can receive further event monsters as rewards. This includes costumed Pokémon.
In the in-game shop, you can also pick up a free Ditto mask for your avatar at the start of the event. Also, there are event stickers that you can obtain from PokéStops and gyms, through gifts, and in limited research.
