What is Pokémon Unite? Pokémon Unite is a Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) where you compete in teams of 5 Pokémon against each other. You can compare the game mechanics with League of Legends.

No, Pokémon Unite will initially be released only on Nintendo Switch, later also mobile for Android and iOS.
You can find the download on the official Pokémon Unite website in the Nintendo eShop (via Nintendo.com). The game is 928 MB in size.
Pokémon Unite will be Free2Play, so it is free. However, there is the possibility to buy Pokémon and items with real money, which may also include previously shown skins for the Pokémon.
No, at release Pokémon Unite is available only in English, Japanese, Korean and Chinese.
If you log in by August 31, you will even receive the Pokémon Zeraora as a gift. Zeraora will be sent to you by mail in the game and you just need to pick up the monster.
Pokémon Unite: Gameplay and playable Pokémon
What does the game look like? Even before the release some players were able to take a look at the game and have already shown gameplay.
Pokémon Unite strongly resembles other MOBAs in structure and gameplay, such as League of Legends, DOTA 2 or Heroes of the Storm. You control your Pokémon and have various abilities on buttons that you can use in battle. However, instead of collecting gold from neutral “creeps”, you evolve your Pokémon.
To win, you need to capture and hold several points on the map. YouTuber Trymacs has already tested Pokémon Unite and even scored a victory. You can see some of his rounds here:
Which Pokémon can I play? In Unite, you have a selection of Pokémon from several generations. These Pokémon are divided into different classes or roles:
- Attackers are aggressive Pokémon that deal damage
- Speedsters are quick and agile
- All-rounders can flexibly replace multiple roles
- Defenders are the “tanks” and can take a lot of damage
- Supporters assist the team
