In Pokémon Unite on July 28, 2021, the monster Gardevoir is being added. The Psychic/Fairy type Pokémon is primarily designed to engage in battle from a distance in the new MOBA.
It was announced: Already on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, Gardevoir (eng. Gardevoir) will be the next Pokémon available in Pokémon Unite. This will slightly expand the fighter roster of the game shortly after the release of Pokémon Unite.
Gardevoir first appeared in the main Pokémon games in the third generation. It evolves from Kirlia, which itself evolves from Ralts. Besides Gardevoir, Kirlia can also evolve into Gallade in the main games or in Pokémon GP – however, this Pokémon has not been announced for Unite.
Gardevoir will be a ranged attacker in Pokémon Unite
This is what Gardevoir can do: Gardevoir was introduced with a small trailer via Twitter for Pokémon Unite. It is referred to as a ranged attacker, and some of its moves are already shown in the video.
According to the portal “rankedboost”, Gardevoir is expected to bring a special ability called “Synchronize” into the game. This ability should allow it to synchronize speed debuffs or long-term damage with an opposing Pokémon. In short: If Gardevoir is slowed down or takes long-term damage, the same applies to the opponent (via “rankedboost“).
Additionally, there is the ranged attack “Confusion”, which later becomes “Psychic” and “Moonblast”. Psychic can deal AoE damage, while Moonblast allows Gardevoir to maintain some distance while also stunning the opponent.
As a second move, Gardevoir gets “Teleport”, which allows the monster to teleport. This can become “Future Sight” or “Psychic”. Psychic is a triple attack forward, while Future Sight causes a delayed explosion. If Future Sight hits, the cooldown of the move is reduced.

Gardevoir’s “Unite Move” is the “Fairy Singularity.” Here, Gardevoir distorts space on the battlefield and pulls Pokémon into a black hole. The drawn-in Pokémon then take damage at once.
The new monster will be available from Wednesday, July 28. The next candidate is expected to be the iconic Blastoise as a defender, if the leaks are to be believed.
However, Pokémon Unite has recently come under criticism: The “Pay2Win” factor is perceived as too high by many in the new game.
