In Pokémon TCG Pocket a new event has started. MeinMMO reveals to you which exclusive cards are available and how you can best obtain them.
What kind of event is it? The drop event (Lapras-ex) is currently in full swing. Trainers have the opportunity to obtain exclusive Pokémon cards that are only available during the event. To do so, you must defeat a deck that is entirely focused on Lapras.

Challenge Lapras in Pokémon TCG Pocket
When does the event take place? The drop event has been running since November 5, 2024, at 07:00 AM. You have until November 18 at 06:59 AM to obtain all promo cards.
What cards are available? In the drop event, you can obtain a total of 5 new cards that are included in the promo packs Series A, Vol. 1:
- A Lapras-ex with the ability Bubble Whip. It deals 80 damage and heals Lapras by 20 points.
- Smetbo
- Pikachu
- Menki
- Piepi
How do I get the cards? To obtain such a card, you need to acquire a promo pack. The packs randomly contain one of the above-mentioned 5 Pokémon. You can receive the promo pack with a certain chance when you win a CPU battle in which a Lapras deck is used.
You find the CPU battles by clicking the 4th icon at the bottom of your screen’s main menu. There, you will land in the battle menu and can then fight a CPU battle on the right edge. The drop event (Lapras-ex) should be at the top.
At each difficulty level, you will be shown which rewards you receive when you defeat the deck with Lapras-ex for the first time. In addition, there is a chance of receiving additional items with each victory.
In addition to the rewards for the 1st victory, you have a chance to receive the following items
Beginner:
- 1x Promo pack Series A, Vol. 1 (51% chance)
- 25x Glitter Dust (100% chance)
- 1x Shop Ticket (38.7% chance)
Advanced:
- 1x Promo pack Series A, Vol. 1 (64% chance)
- 25x Glitter Dust (100% chance)
- 1x Shop Ticket (48.3% chance)
Professional:
- 1x Promo pack Series A, Vol. 1 (80% chance)
- 25x Glitter Dust (100% chance)
- 1x Shop Ticket (60.4% chance)
Master:
- 1x Promo pack Series A, Vol. 1 (100% chance)
- 25x Glitter Dust (100% chance)
- 1x Shop Ticket (75.5% chance)
After a victory, you will find the promo pack in the main menu at the top right under Gifts. You can open the booster normally by swiping. However, keep in mind that you do not automatically have a booster in your inventory after each victory.
How do I best defeat Lapras-ex? To defeat Lapras-ex, it’s a good idea to use Electric Pokémon. Here are the cards you should have in your deck:
- Pikachu
- Raichu
- Magnetilo
- Magneton
- Voltoball
- Lektroball
- Elektek
Remember to pack some support cards and items in your deck. This gives you the best chance of defeating Lapras-ex in battle. Alternatively, you can use the Pikachu-ex deck, which is a loan deck but is consumed after 10 uses.
Is there anything to consider? You have only a limited number of battles that you can fight depending on your stamina. One stamina point is consumed per victory.
If you are in the drop event menu, you will see the number of battles you can still fight at the top right. If your stamina is empty, you have to wait 10 hours. Alternatively, you can use the event stamina you receive when you win in one of the four different difficulty levels.
