In Pokémon TCG Pocket a new event has started revolving around Fire Pokémon. Unfortunately, many players are disappointed with the event, as they are now expressing on social media.
What kind of event is this? Currently, collectors are encountering a massive influx of Fire Pokémon in the Wonder Selection of Pokémon TCG Pocket. Players have about a week to collect special cards and complete challenges.
To utilize the special Wonder Selection+, trainers must spend 3 Wonder Stamina, which can be replenished with Wonder Hourglasses. To obtain these, challenges can be completed. If trainers collect multiple Fire Pokémon or obtain the rare Arcanine-ex, they will receive Wonder Hourglasses in return.
But that’s exactly where the problem lies. Trainers are disappointed that the rewards of the event are anything but worthwhile.

Players hope that developers learn from the event
Why are players disappointed with the event? In the Reddit forum, many players are upset that the rewards for completing the challenges are too low.
- If players complete all the challenges while collecting Fire Pokémon, they receive 14 Wonder Hourglasses.
- To participate in a Wonder Selection+, 3 Wonder Stamina is required. The stamina replenishes over time, which can be accelerated by using Wonder Hourglasses.
- One Wonder Stamina can be restored by using 12 Wonder Hourglasses. Thus, the rewards from the event are only sufficient to fully restore one Wonder Stamina.
Since the Wonder Selection+ can be repeated multiple times and the Wonder Stamina can also be used for regular Wonder Selections, many trainers need to restore their Wonder Stamina with Hourglasses. However, these are nowhere near enough to participate multiple times in the Wonder Selection+.
Especially the fact that the event only lasts for a week makes things even worse. Trainers don’t even have enough time to focus on acquiring Wonder Stamina, if they do not want to spend money.
Some players therefore hope that the development team takes the criticism to heart and makes future events a bit more worthwhile. They can understand that such small events are mainly meant to help newcomers. But it must also be worthwhile to complete the challenges, otherwise, one cannot participate in the event itself.
