With the new expansion Collision of Space and Time in Pokémon TCG Pocket, Palkia-ex has also been added. MeinMMO explains how you can build a deck around the card.
What makes Palkia-ex so strong? Palkia-ex requires a total of four energies to attack. This makes the card seem slow at first glance, but the long setup is worth it.
With its attack Dimension Storm, Palkia-ex can not only hit the active opposing Pokémon for 150 damage points, but also damage the Pokémon on the bench for 20 damage points each.
This is especially helpful when your opponent has an injured Pokémon on the bench with only a few hit points left. In the best case, you can knock out not only the active Pokémon but also an additional one on the bench and score two points.

How is the deck played? Manaphy is essential if you want to use Palkia-ex. The card can be played in the active position, and with its attack “Gift of the Sea,” you can attach one Water energy to two Pokémon on your bench. This way, you can power up Vaporeon and Palkia-ex with energy.
The accumulated energy on Vaporeon can be transferred to Palkia-ex with its ability “Wash Away”, giving you two energies on Palkia-ex in one turn. You can gain additional energies with the supporter card Misty.
In no time, Palkia-ex is ready for action and can be made even stronger with Large Cloak.

How is the deck played? Again, you need Manaphy to get Palkia-ex started. Greninja and Palkia-ex need some time to set up, so you can fend off the first hits from your opponent with Shardrago.
If there are still opposing Pokémon left after Palkia-ex’s attack, you can deal the final blow with Greninja and its ability “Water Shuriken” from the bench. Once your deck is fully set up, you can deal a total of up to 190 damage:
- 150 damage points from Palkia-ex’s attack
- 40 damage points from the ability of two Greninja

- 2x Palkia-ex

- 2x Staryu
- 2x Starmie

How is the deck played? You will use Manaphy as the setup Pokémon at the beginning again. Starmie is a quick-to-play Pokémon that can deal damage while Palkia-ex still needs to be set up. With Large Cloak, you can increase Starmie’s hit points and protect it from knockouts.
