Pokémon TCG Pocket offers some strong decks. The Pokémon Alakazam may initially seem a bit inconspicuous, but it has a lot to offer. MyMMO will tell you how to best utilize this Psychic Pokémon.
Why is Alakazam so strong? With its attack Psyshock, which deals 60 damage, Alakazam may not seem particularly impressive at first glance.
But the added effect of the attack is crucial: For each energy that the opposing Pokémon has attached, Psyshock deals an additional 30 damage points.
Thus, Alakazam is a perfect counter to strong ex-cards that have a lot of energy attached to execute powerful attacks.

Building the Alakazam Deck
You definitely need these cards: To even reach Alakazam, you will need the previous evolution Kadabra and the basic Pokémon Abra.

What is the downside of the Alakazam deck? Alakazam is a stage 2 evolution, meaning you need to “build up” the Pokémon before it can fully unleash its power. This takes some time, at least three rounds.
To somewhat compensate for this, we recommend strong basic Pokémon such as Kangaskhan, which has a decent amount of HP, while also being able to deal good damage. The time these cards provide you can be used for building up Alakazam.
