In Pokémon Sun and Moon, we introduce all known pocket monsters – including the starter and legendary Pokémon.
From November 23, 2016, the new Pokémon editions for the Nintendo 3DS will be available. In addition to a completely new adventure, new characters, and modes, a batch of fresh Pokémon must, of course, not be missing.
Below, we present the known monsters so far. We showcase their names, properties, and abilities.
These are the three starter Pokémon in Sun and Moon
Every great Pokémon trainer started with their first Pokémon. Many of you surely remember the hardest decision of your childhood: Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle. The starter Pokémon always belong to the types Grass, Fire, and Water – and sometimes have additional types.
It’s the same in Sun and Moon. Here, the starter Pokémon are called Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio.
Rowlet
Category: Leafed Wings
Types: Grass + Flying
Height: 0.3 m
Weight: 1.5 kg
Ability: Overgrow
Rowlet resembles an owl and is capable of attacking completely silently. It strikes its enemies with powerful kicks and razor-sharp leaves that are part of its plumage. One of Rowlet’s attacks is called Leafage. In this move, opponents are struck with leaves. The Pokémon masters this attack right from the start.
Litten
Category: Fire Cat
Type: Fire
Height: 0.4 m
Weight: 4.3 kg
Ability: Blaze
Litten is a rational, always cool Pokémon but can also show passion. It attacks with fireballs produced from swallowed hairs. Its fur is covered in flammable oils. Litten possesses the move Ember right from the start.
Popplio
Category: Seal
Type: Water
Height: 0.4 m
Weight: 7.5 kg
Ability: Torrent
Popplio’s habitat is the water, in which it can move better than on land. This Pokémon loves to play around but is also very hardworking. It masters the move Water Gun right from the start and can incorporate water balloons into a playful combat strategy.
On the following pages, we present the remaining known Pokémon.
