What has been discovered in Pokémon GO so far
What dataminers found: There is officially nothing from Pokémon GO on this topic yet. However, dataminers have already diligently found some hints about the Galar region.
Text passages about a Galar PokéDex have already been found in the game files. In addition, 3 Galar Pokémon have been discovered in the game code and there is a search filter that filters for Galar Pokémon.
What are Galar Pokémon? They are comparable to the Alola Pokémon, which can already be caught and hatched in the game. They are simply Pokémon from previous generations that look different because they come from the Galar region.
So far, the following Pokémon have been found in the game code:
- Weezing
- Zigzagoon
- Obstagoon
What does this mean for Pokémon GO? The Alola forms are already in the game, even though the 7th generation, where the Alola Pokémon come from, is not yet available. The same could happen with the Galar Pokémon. The content of the game files at least gives hope.
What other speculations are there? In the 8th generation, there are also Gigantamax Pokémon. These monsters are basically giant versions of the normal Pokémon. This is comparable to the Mega Evolutions of some Pokémon. However, these are also not yet in the game. It remains to be seen whether the Gigantamax Pokémon will also come to Pokémon GO soon.
It is also quite conceivable that there will be a big event in Pokémon GO upon the release of the game. The same was true for the release of the two Let’s GO games.
What is certain: The 8th generation will bring various new Pokémon. These will eventually be found in Pokémon GO as well. Currently, after 3 years, we have reached the 5th generation. Therefore, the 8th generation is not that far away.
