This is what the future of Temtem looks like
What Temtem has planned for 2020: This year, Temtem plans to introduce several new features. This includes the new islands Kisiwa and Cipanku, each adding 25 new Temtem to the already existing ones. It also includes the first mythical Temtem in the game.

In addition, chat functions, housing, tournaments, and achievements are planned. There will also be a matchmaking system for ranked matches. In Winter 2020, the island Arbury should be introduced, also with 30 Temtem, as well as a mythical monster and dojo challenges for clubs.
What Temtem has planned for 2021: In 2021, Temtem aims to continue expanding. As mentioned, the 1.0 release including console ports is planned for Spring, and an end-game island will be introduced. Daily and weekly quests are planned, along with a cosmetics store.

In Summer 2021, the game will be expanded with another mythical Temtem, a battle pass with cosmetics, and a Nuzlocke mode. This will be a kind of hardcore mode in which each of your defeated Temtem is immediately released. Additionally, you can only catch a limited number of them.
