At the press conference of Pokémon, a completely new game was introduced with Pokémon Sleep. We tell you what is currently known about it and what it means for Pokémon GO.
This is Pokémon Sleep: There are not many details about the game yet, but it is supposed to be mainly active during your sleep. In summer 2016, Pokémon made pure walking more attractive. The same is now intended for sleep.
In line with this, the Pokémon GO Plus+ was also introduced. This device is primarily supposed to connect to Pokémon GO.
Pokémon Sleep – What is known so far
How is the game supposed to work? Pokémon Sleep is expected to function mainly with the new GO Plus+. This is supposed to be placed next to the pillow at night and it will then send signals to the smartphone regarding when sleep occurs and for how long.
The game should be able to influence the sleeping and waking phases. However, how this influence looks specifically is not yet known.
What is the Pokémon GO Plus+ supposed to do? Here lies probably the biggest connection to Pokémon GO. The GO Plus+ works just like the GO Plus and can catch Pokémon in Pokémon GO with the press of a button.
At night, however, it has the special additional function of recording the player’s sleep.
What else was introduced? Besides the new game, Pokémon Home was also introduced. This service is supposed to launch in 2020 and essentially connect all new Pokémon games.
In Pokémon Home, all Pokémon from the various games should be able to meet. The games include, in addition to Pokémon GO, the Let’s GO games and the new Sword and Shield generation.
At the press conference, a trading system was also mentioned. However, how exactly this is supposed to work is still unknown.
