What kind of Pokémon is this? Zamazenta is a legendary Pokémon from Generation 8. It is the counterpart to Zacian and represents the shield in the game series “Sword and Shield”. Zamazenta can assume the following two forms similar to Zacian: “heroic warrior form” and “King of the Shield”. In Pokémon GO, you can currently only find it in its heroic warrior form.
Is there a shiny version of Zamazenta? No, Zamazenta is not yet available in its shiny form in Pokémon GO.
Use these counters against Zamazenta (heroic warrior form)
Zamazenta (heroic warrior form) is a Fighting-type Pokémon. Therefore, it is particularly weak against the attacks of the Flying, Psychic, and Fairy types. You should definitely take advantage of this weakness and use appropriate attackers.

Mega Evolutions as counters: Some Mega Evolutions also work very well as counters against Zamazenta. If you want to use one in battle, rely on these monsters:
- Mega Pidgeot with Gust and Brave Bird
- Mega Gengar with Lick and Psychic
- Mega Alakazam with Confusion and Psychic
Is Zamazenta (heroic warrior form) worth it?
According to the overview from gamepress, Zamazenta has the same stats as Zacian (via gamepress.gg). It is thus strong in attack and defense, but has only average stamina. Similar to Zacian, it can also learn various fast and charged attacks.
Since Zamazenta is a Fighting-type in its heroic warrior form, a moveset consisting of the corresponding attacks would be ideal. However, this is currently not the case. Zamazenta does not have access to a single Fighting-type fast move.
This makes it somewhat less interesting for use in raids. In PvP, however, the situation looks a bit better. Especially in the Master League, it ranks among the best Fighting-type Pokémon according to PvPoke (via pvpoke.com). However, there are also other monsters that are better suited for use.
Since Zamazenta can be caught in Pokémon GO for the first time, you should definitely secure a specimen for your Pokédex.
