On June 25, 2022, the Community Day with Kapuno will take place in Pokémon GO. However, you should definitely take a very specific monster as your buddy. We at MeinMMO will show you which Pokémon it is and why it can be worthwhile for you.
What kind of event is it? On Saturday, June 25, 2022, the Community Day in Pokémon GO with Kapuno will take place in June. During this event, you can encounter the Dark and Dragon Pokémon Kapuno everywhere in the wild.
However, it can be worth it if you not only focus on your Kapuno during the event but also on a special buddy Pokémon. We will explain why to you.
Use Pam-Pam as your buddy for the Community Day with Kapuno
Many trainers use the monthly Community Days to explore their surroundings and take their buddy Pokémon along for the journey. However, for the C-Day with Kapuno, you should not choose this buddy lightly. It is advisable to rely on Pam-Pam.
Why should you use Pam-Pam? Pam-Pam is a Fighting-type Pokémon from the 6th generation of games. You can mainly find it in 12 km eggs and occasionally in raids. The little panda can also be evolved into Pandagro.
And this is where your buddy Pokémon comes into play. To evolve Pam-Pam, you need 50 candies, but you also have to catch 32 Dark-type Pokémon together with your Fighting Pokémon. You do this by taking Pam-Pam as your buddy.
To quickly catch the Dark-type Pokémon and thus evolve Pam-Pam, the C-Day with Kapuno is an excellent opportunity. Kapuno is a monster of the Dark and Dragon types. Since it spawns at every corner during the event, you will quickly reach the 32 required specimens.
Is Pandagro worth it? The monster is not particularly strong, as it only scores with a good stamina value. Its attack and defense are rather average. Therefore, it plays a minor role in PvP battles according to PvPoke and in raids, you should rather rely on the 10 best Fighting attackers. Thus, Pandagro is mainly worth it for registration in the PokéDex.
What else should you consider for the C-Day with Kapuno?
In addition to the buddy Pokémon, it is also worthwhile to focus on an appropriate Mega Evolution. If this is active during catching, you will receive an additional candy if the captured monster belongs to the same type.
Additionally, you will receive an attack bonus in battles if you use monsters with attacks of the same type. This could be particularly interesting for you after the Community Day with Kapuno, as Pokémon GO is bringing back Level 4 Raids, but with a restriction.
So you can only face Duodino, the first evolution of Kapuno, on-site. This one is particularly weak against Fairy attacks, as well as against Fighting, Ice, Bug, and Dragon attacks. It is definitely worth having the right counters ready.
Which Mega Evolution should you focus on? If you want to use the Mega Evolution after the Community Day with Kapuno against Duodino, especially Mega Altaria is worthwhile. This one belongs to the Pokémon of the Dragon and Fairy types.
If you don’t have this monster, you can alternatively use other Mega Dragons like Mega Ampharos, Mega Latias, or Mega Latios. For those who are not interested in the raids, you can also receive the additional candy when catching if Mega Charizard X, Mega Gyarados, Mega Houndoom, or Mega Absol are active.
