Professor Willow’s global challenge in Pokémon GO is complete. Countless trainers around the world contributed to provide you with great rewards. But these are only available for a limited time.
What rewards are available? During the GO Fests in Dortmund, each participating team in the challenge was able to unlock a reward. Here’s what was achieved:
- Hatching eggs rewards you with triple experience points
- Catching Pokémon rewards you with triple experience points
- Victories in raids reward you with double experience points
- Lucky eggs now last a full hour
Additionally, a raid has been opened for a single day: Entei is back.
When will I receive the rewards? The period for experience bonuses will begin on July 9 at 10 PM. From then on, you have until July 16 at 10 PM to increase your level further.
The Entei raid will take place for three hours on July 14. The exact start time has not yet been revealed.
What can I expect in the Entei raid?
Here’s how to master the raid: As a pure Fire-type Pokémon, Entei is particularly vulnerable to Water attacks. So pack some Water Pokémon. Rock and Ground Pokémon can also be useful. In our list, we introduce you to the strongest Pokémon by type.
However, you should also pay attention to bringing the right attacks and movesets. The right Pokémon are of little use without the right attacks. In our guide, we detail how to defeat Entei.
Is Entei worth it? Entei is one of the three legendary big cats. Just as such, Entei is a prestige Pokémon that every collector would love to have. However, Entei does not perform well as an attacker.
In our comparison of Raikou, Suicune, and Entei, both Entei and Suicune are rather not usable as attacking Pokémon. However, Entei offers a shiny variant during the three-hour raid. For collectors, that’s a particularly rare piece.
These bonuses are active: While you are in the raid, you continue to benefit from all event bonuses. So if you haven’t reached level 40 yet and are out with friends, you’ll level up a bit faster with the raid.
However, at the same time as the Entei raid, the Mewtwo raid is also active. So be prepared to encounter the Psychic Pokémon multiple times:
