Pokémon GO held a total of 15 different Community Days for you in 2022. We at MeinMMO wanted to know from you which one was your favorite. Below we have summarized the results for you.
Which events are involved? In Pokémon GO, a so-called Community Day is held once a month. This focuses on a specific monster, which can then be found almost everywhere.
With an improved Shiny rate for the respective Pokémon, you also have a good chance of encountering a shiny specimen on such a day.
In 2022, the concept surrounding the Community Days was additionally expanded with three different Community Days Classic, which focused on monsters that already had their own C-Day. For this reason, you were able to participate in a total of 15 different events of this kind last year.
We therefore launched a survey and wanted to know from you which Community Day you liked the most in 2022.

Which monsters were up for selection? Last year, as part of the Community Days and Community Day Classic, you could catch a variety of different monsters again.
Among them, the following 15 Pokémon of various types were available: Seemops, Bisasam, Hoppspross, Sandan & Alola-Sandan, Hydropi, Velursi, Alola-Kleinstein, Kapuno, Staralili, Galar-Zigzachs, Kiesling, Lichtel, Dratini, and Teddiursa.
In December, you also expected a two-day event where you could encounter all C-Day Pokémon from 2022 again, as well as the following Pokémon from the previous year: Machollo, Evoli, Roselia, Wablu, Zwirrlicht, Sheinux, Kaumalat, Serpifeu, Floink, Ottaro, and Dartiri.
This monster is your favorite: We wanted to know from you in the past two weeks which of the Community Days you liked best in 2022. As of today (January 15, 2022, 10:00 AM), a total of 657 trainers have participated in our survey.
You have clearly voted the Community Day with Kapuno in June as your favorite. You voted as follows:
- Kapuno (Community Day June) with 301 votes, about 46%
- Dratini (Community Day Classic November) with 84 votes, about 13%
- Lichtel (Community Day October) with 80 votes, about 12%
- Community Day December with all C-Day monsters from 2021 & 2022 with 57 votes, about 9%
- Teddiursa (Community Day November) with 36 votes, about 5%
- Galar-Zigzachs (Community Day August) with 30 votes, about 5%
- Hydropi (Community Day Classic April) with 20 votes, about 3%
- Velursi (Community Day April) with 14 votes, about 2%
- Kiesling (Community Day September) with 12 votes, about 2%
- Sandan & Alola-Sandan (Community Day March) with 8 votes, about 1%
- Bisasam (Community Day Classic January) with 5 votes, about 1%
- Seemops (Community Day January) with 4 votes, about 1%
- Staralili (Community Day July) with 3 votes, less than 1%
- Alola-Kleinstein (Community Day May) with 2 votes, less than 1%
- Hoppspross (Community Day February) with one vote, less than 1%
Possible reasons why you chose Kapuno
Looking at the survey results, it quickly becomes clear that almost half of all participants voted for the Community Day with Kapuno. Following at a clear distance are the C-Day Classic with Dratini and the Community Day with Lichtel, which together account for about 25% of the votes. The remaining votes are distributed across all other monsters that were available for selection.
Why Kapuno is so interesting: Kapuno is a Dark and Dragon Pokémon. Like most dragons, it is not easy to obtain in the game outside of certain events, especially in its shiny form.
Moreover, the Pokémon has a strong evolution in Trikephalo, which belongs to the best attackers in Pokémon GO. Thus, it has high attack values and a strong moveset, making it essential as a Dark attacker in your team.

Furthermore, the Community Day with Kapuno was a good opportunity to progress with the medals for the types Dark and Dragon. To receive these in platinum, you need to catch 2,500 specimens of the respective type.
What makes Dratini and Lichtel good?
Dratini: Although Dratini already had its own C-Day in the past, it was still able to score points with some of you during the C-Day Classic. This could be because, similar to Kapuno, it belongs to the Dragon type and also has a strong evolution.
Unlike other Dragon Pokémon, Dratini can occasionally be found in the game. Nevertheless, this monster also served as a good opportunity to advance the progress of the “Dragon Medal”.
Lichtel: Last year, Lichtel was another strong and popular monster that competed. It made its shiny debut in the game on this day, which numerous trainers had been waiting for.
With its final evolution Skelabra, it is also one of the 10 best Fire attackers in the game. And as one of the strongest Ghost Pokémon, it also performs well in raids.
Monsters with few votes: In contrast to Kapuno, Dratini, and Lichtel, other monsters like Hoppspross, Alola-Kleinstein, or Staralili hardly received any votes from you. This may be primarily because they can be found relatively frequently in the game and have become somewhat less interesting for many trainers. Thus, they might have been interesting mainly due to the shinies.
