In Pokémon GO, the special research with Zarude is currently running. One of the tasks requires you to defeat six Rocket Grunts. However, you can save a lot of time and only need one Grunt encounter.
What kind of task is this? In Pokémon GO, the “Search for Zarude” research started with the jungle event on October 1st. In chapter 4/5, you are to defeat six Rocket Grunts. You will encounter Ariados for this.
On reddit, trainers show that the task is very easy to complete.
You don’t have to battle six times
This is the trick: On reddit, Shadowadra states that there is a trick for the Rocket Grunt task of the Zarude research. You can skip battling six Grunts.
Instead of securing six victories, you can simply lose to the same Grunt six times. “Basically, you can use three 10 CP Pokémon and lose to the same Grunt six times to complete the quest,” writes Shadowadra.
This way, in chapter 4/5 you only need to catch 15 Pokémon with weather boost and take three snapshots of wild flying Pokémon. In the next chapter, all tasks are completed and you can catch a Zarude.
