Which Pokémon is it about? In Pokémon GO, a new Mega-Pokémon is coming soon that players have been waiting for some time: Mega-Diancie. This is the Mega-evolution of the mysterious Fairy- and Rock-type Pokémon Diancie, which will make its debut in the game during this year’s GO Fest.
And it is not alone, as its Mega-evolution will finally be obtainable. How you can secure Mega-Diancie and whether it is worth it, we have summarized for you below.
How to get Mega-Diancie
When does Mega-Diancie debut? After the gem Pokémon has already been announced as one of the highlights for this year’s GO Fest, the developers of Pokémon GO have re-confirmed Mega-Diancie in a tweet for the event.
Thus, for the live events in London, Osaka, and New York, as well as during the global GO Fest, there will also be Mega Energy to collect for the first time to temporarily evolve Diancie into Mega-Diancie. However, not everyone can secure the new monster.
Who can get Mega-Diancie? To secure the Mega Energy, you will need a ticket for the live events and/or for the global GO Fest.
How do you get Mega Energy? Those who have a ticket for the global GO Fest will receive a special research task. Through this, you secure an encounter with Diancie. To secure the corresponding Mega Energy, you must also complete Raid battles against Rocara. These are awarded to ticket holders after the victorious raid.
Ticket holders for one of the live events can also secure Mega Energy by completing relevant field research in the respective event park on-site.
Is Mega-Diancie worth it?
How strong will it be: While Diancie can particularly score with good defense, its Mega-evolution impresses with an enormous attack value. Even though the exact numbers and movesets have not yet been officially confirmed, the following values are to be expected (via gamepress.gg):
- Attack: 342
- Defense: 235
- Stamina: 137
If these values are confirmed, Mega-Diancie will be the best Rock and Fairy attacker in the game, which is why it should not be missing from your team, especially in raids. It’s just to be hoped that it also gets a strong moveset.
Is there Shiny-Diancie? According to current information, you can only catch a normal Diancie as part of the special research, which you can then evolve into Mega-Diancie. A shiny variant will therefore not be available in the game for the time being.
Who should secure Mega-Diancie? Anyone who wants a strong Pokémon on their team should not overlook Mega-Diancie, as it is expected to be one of the best attackers in Pokémon GO. In particular, players who have already purchased a ticket for the GO Fest should take the chance and diligently collect Mega Energy.
