Pokémon GO: You can earn a lot of Stardust with a Pokémon in the current event

In Pokémon GO, you can collect a lot of Stardust again through the current event. We will explain how that works.

What kind of event is this? The current event in Pokémon GO is called Ultradimensions-Wonder. It started on May 23, 2024, at 10:00 AM and will run until May 28, 2024, at 8:00 PM.

In addition to introducing three new Ultra Beasts, the event also includes some other bonuses like altered raids and wild Pokémon. And one of the wild Pokémon is ideal if you want to collect Stardust.

Up to 1,406 Stardust per catch

Which Pokémon is it? Unratütox, the Poison Pokémon from Generation 5, can be found more frequently in the wild during the event alongside some other Pokémon. Catching this Pokémon can earn you a lot of Stardust.

There are some Pokémon in Pokémon GO that naturally give a larger amount of Stardust when you catch them. The amount of Stardust varies between 500 and 2,100, depending on the Pokémon, without any additional effects. Unratütox is one of those.

If you catch an Unratütox without using a Star Piece and without the corresponding weather boost, this Pokémon will provide you with a whopping 750 Stardust per catch, instead of the regular 100. This amount can increase under certain circumstances:

• Catch with weather boost: 936 Stardust
• Catch with Star Piece and without weather boost: 1,125 Stardust
• Catch with Star Piece and with weather boost: 1,406 Stardust

To get the weather boost for Unratütox, the weather must either be “overcast” or “partly cloudy”. To receive the Star Piece boost, you just need to activate the corresponding item.

So if you’re out during the event and need Stardust, keep an eye out for Unratütox in your area and catch them. By using Incense and Lure Modules, you can further increase the potential amount of Unratütox.
