The goals of the global challenges in Pokémon GO have been fulfilled. Now strong XP bonuses and an Articuno Day await you.
Global challenges: As part of the summer events for Pokémon GO, Niantic has set tasks for trainers. These had to be completed by solving research tasks.
Tasks completed: The challenges during the Safari Zone in Dortmund have been successfully completed. Now the rewards are coming into play.
What rewards are there? To ensure that the work was not in vain, Niantic rewards you with more experience points and an Articuno Day.
Double and triple experience points
When will the rewards be available? After the Safari Zone, the bonuses will be activated – which means starting July 2 (presumably 10:00 PM German time). The rewards will be active for one week and will then end on July 9 at 10:00 PM German time.
What bonuses are there exactly?
- Lucky Eggs last 1 hour instead of 30 minutes
- Double experience points in raids
- Triple experience points for hatching eggs
- Triple experience points for catching Pokémon
What does this mean for you? You can quickly get closer to your goal of Level 40 with these increased experience points. Do you know people who want to start playing? For them, this is a good time to quickly reach the high-level areas.
Articuno Day – with Shiny form!
Big bonus for completed tasks: Since all tasks for the Safari Zone in Dortmund have now been completed, you will (presumably at the start of the bonuses shown above) receive a batch of Raid Passes. That means 5 Raid Passes for the Articuno Day. You will receive these 5 passes once when you first spin a Photo Disc at a gym.
The Articuno Day: The Articuno Day will take place on July 7. For three hours, the legendary Ice Bird will appear in raid battles worldwide. Niantic adds: “And if you are lucky, you may even encounter its Shiny form!” However, how high the chance for Shiny Articuno will be is still unknown.
Collectors should be quick and keep their eyes open. So far, no time has been announced for when Articuno will appear in the gyms. We will report about it on Mein-MMO.de.
Europe event starting soon: As a kind of apology for the problematic Safari Zone, Niantic plans a Europe-wide event in Pokémon GO.
