In line with Paris Fashion Week, Pokémon GO will get colorful for a week. Dressed-up Pokémon with top hats and bows will be available to catch. Additionally, a new Shiny will be released. Here’s what you need to know about this crazy week.
What kind of event is this? Niantic announced that to celebrate the start of Paris Fashion Week, they will also bring fashion to Pokémon GO. You will see this on Pokémon and also on accessories for Trainers. However, the event only lasts a week and brings these special Pokémon. Accordingly, you probably won’t be able to catch them afterwards. This makes the fashion Pokémon interesting for collectors of rare specimens.
- The event starts in early October and lasts for a week
- Pokémon in the wild, from raids, and from eggs are fashionably dressed
- Shiny Zigzagoon will be unlocked
- You can expect an exclusive field research
- Free Trainer accessories will be available in the game
These bonuses come with the Fashion Event in Pokémon GO
When does the event run? It kicks off in early October.
- From Friday, October 2, 2020, at 5 PM to Friday, October 9, 2020, at 7 AM the Fashion Event will take place in Pokémon GO.
These costumed Pokémon are coming: Certain Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild. These are
- Electrike, Meowth, Roselia, Zigzagoon, Glameow with a turned-up cap, Zebstrika, Swablu, Pidgey, Froslass
The Glameow with a turned-up cap will also appear as a encounter in GO snapshots.
From 7 km eggs, you can find among others Amore, which wears a bow as a special fashion piece.
In raid battles, you’ll encounter Kirlia and Luxio wearing top hats. Kirlia can even learn the move Thief’s Kiss.
New Shiny: What would a Pokémon GO event be without a new Shiny? Niantic must have asked this question too and announced that you will encounter Shiny Zigzagoon for the first time during the Fashion Event. In the following graphic, we show you the differences between the normal form and the shiny form:
More bonuses for you: During the week, an exclusive field research will start. So far, there are no detailed details on this research.
In the Pokémon GO shop during the event, you can expect a free Longchamp avatar accessory. At the same time, you can also buy these Longchamp items in “real” stores. This way, you can look like your digital Trainer in the real world if you want.
For some trainers, high stats on their Pokémon are more important than a fashionable appearance. Everyone wants the 100 perfect IV – But how strong are 100% really?
