In Pokémon GO, you should keep an eye on your incubator this weekend. Because hatching is worth it.
What’s happening in Pokémon GO? On Sunday, April 28th, the Hatching Day with Pii will take place. It will run from 2 PM to 5 PM and will give you some bonuses related to hatching eggs. However: one bonus starts today.
This bonus is already active: Starting Friday, April 26, 2024, from 10 AM, there will be a halved hatch distance for all the eggs you put in the incubator until April 28 (5 PM).
This means you can hatch particularly many eggs on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. You will therefore get to the Pokémon hidden in the eggs much quicker. Moreover, it’s a very good opportunity to thin out your egg collection a bit and make room for new eggs in case you have some you want to get rid of. Because you can’t delete eggs.
Additionally, there will already be field research tasks related to Hatching Day starting Friday. They will earn you more Stardust and XP.
Beware! Here’s what you should keep in mind: There’s a bonus you should be aware of, which is only valid on Sunday from 2 PM to 5 PM: double hatch candies.
If you have specific eggs in your collection that you hope will hatch into good Pokémon and from which you could use double candies, you should only hatch them during the event period on Sunday.
All Bonuses of the Pii Hatching Day in Pokémon GO on Sunday
Here we summarize all the bonuses you can expect on Sunday.
These bonuses are provided by Hatching Day: On April 28, 2024, from 2 PM to 5 PM:
- Pii will hatch more frequently from 2 km eggs.
- You will receive double hatch candies when hatching eggs.
- You have an increased chance of shiny Pii from the eggs.
- You will get more 2 km eggs from PokéStops.
- The hatch distance is halved, but this is already valid from Friday morning as described.
Additionally, a free limited research will be unlocked, which ends with the event. If you complete it in time, you will receive XP and a Super Incubator as a reward.
In the shop, there will also be another optional, paid limited research available for 1 US dollar (expected comparable price in euros). If you buy it, you will also receive double hatch Stardust for the event. Completing it will then reward you with 1 Star Piece, 1 Super Incubator, and XP. But it will also only be available until the end of the event.
