What kind of Pokémon is this? It looks like it might be Flaniwal, which can evolve into Kolowal. The silhouette fits with the Pokémon from the ninth game generation. Additionally, Flaniwal was one of the Pokémon that recently appeared in a leak that could be coming to the game soon.

What kind of Pokémon are Flaniwal and Kolowal?
These are Flaniwal and Kolowal: Flaniwal is Pokémon number 0974 and comes from the games Scarlet and Violet. It is an Ice type and resembles a small whale, but it lives on land.
Its evolution is called Kolowal, which also belongs to the Ice type. In the main games, you can trigger the evolution by using an Ice Stone. This item is not available in Pokémon GO, so it remains to be seen how the evolution can be triggered there.
It is possible that it simply requires using the necessary candies. It is also conceivable that the Glacier lure module will come into play here – or some other form of evolution. This remains to be seen.
How strong is Flaniwal? Here too, it remains to be seen how it will be implemented in Pokémon GO. Its evolution Kolowal is characterized mainly by a high HP value, the highest of all Ice Pokémon. However, in terms of attack, it falls short of some other representatives of the type, and its defensive value is very low.
Therefore, overall, no top attacker for raids is expected. However, it remains to be seen what kind of moveset it brings.

When will Flaniwal be released? A date was not shared with the teaser, so the release is still completely open.
However, the nature of the teaser points to the theme of “winter”, and the events in December 2023 show that from December 18 to December 25 the event “Winter Holidays, Part 1” is upcoming. That would be a plausible release date.
Additionally, the event “Winter Wonderland” and “Winter Holidays, Part 2” are also upcoming in December, which would be good alternatives. So we are expecting a release later this year.
