More monsters from the Hoenn region are on their way to Pokémon GO. This includes a new legendary raid boss.
Starting tomorrow, February 9, 2018, more monsters from Generation 3 will flood into the Pokémon GO app. As the developers reveal, you can expect some flying and dragon monsters making their first appearance in the game. Additionally, there will be a new legendary raid boss to defeat.
First only Generation 3 Pokémon in the wild
In addition to the new dragon and flying Pokémon, Rayquaza will be available as a raid boss starting February 9. You only have until February 14 to catch the legendary water Pokémon Kyogre, which will disappear in a few days.

This event is likely to start when the new monsters can be found in the game, around February 9 at 21:00 or 22:00. Additionally, Niantic will activate some bonuses for you in the game.
New egg contents and raid bosses
More variety awaits trainers with raid bosses, as new bosses are expected in the gyms. Furthermore, other Pokémon are expected to hatch from eggs. However, the developers did not disclose exact details. In the coming days, trainers will need to walk many kilometers to analyze the changes in egg contents.
