The Weather Week in Pokémon GO starts today. What you can expect from the event, we summarize here for you.
Start of the Weather Week in Pokémon GO: The event starts on Thursday, March 14 at 10:00 AM local time.
End of the Event: It ends on Monday, March 18 at 8:00 PM. This gives you almost five days to take advantage of the event.
What you should pay attention to: In parallel with the Weather Week, two other events are taking place over the weekend:
The bonuses thus overlap at times, resulting in a weekend that is truly worthwhile.
But what is actually in the Weather Week?
All Bonuses of the Weather Week in Pokémon GO
Hunt for Stardust: The perhaps most important bonus of the event revolves around Stardust. You generally always need Stardust to level up Pokémon, to purify them, or to teach them new moves.
During the Weather Week, you get double Stardust for all monsters you catch. Furthermore, there is an additional dust bonus for all Pokémon that appear with weather boosts. And since spawns during the Weather Week are somewhat more influenced by the weather than usual, you could rack up plenty of dust.
Additionally, a collector challenge is supposed to appear, which also brings dust.
What you should also keep an eye on: You can generally encounter Paras more frequently, which is among the monsters that yield more Stardust. So, you should definitely catch this little bug for lots of dust when it appears during the Weather Week.
Increased Shiny Chance: There is also a cool bonus for shiny collectors: The shiny chance for Formeo is increased. Since this Pokémon has several forms, you can specifically look for shiny variants here.
