The Community Day with Bummelz will be repeated in early July. Pokémon GO has now announced the event period on Twitter.
Why is the Community Day being repeated? During the Community Day with Bummelz in June 2019, there were massive problems with the weather feature of the game in Germany.
As a result, hardly any Bummelz spawned during the event, but mainly random Pokémon did. Niantic responded and announced a repeat.
Date of the repeat causes stress
When will the Community Day be repeated? From July 4th at 10 AM German time until July 7th at 6 PM, you will find more Bummelz in the wild. During this time, Letarking will also know Body Slam upon evolution.
What about the bonuses? During the Community Day, there were also bonuses, such as a reduction in egg distance. These bonuses will probably not be activated for the repeat event. Niantic has not provided any details on this.
What about spawns? Since the event lasts for 4 days, Bummelz will certainly not appear as frequently as on a normal Community Day.
Nothing is known about the shiny chance. It remains to be seen whether it is 1 in 25, like on a normal Community Day.
This is what players are worried about: The timing of the Bummelz event also coincides with the GO Fest in Dortmund. Players are now concerned that the GO Fest will be overwhelmed by a flood of Bummelz, disrupting the normal spawns.
However, Niantic has already confirmed via Twitter that the Bummelz event will not affect the grounds of the GO Fest.
However, there is still a problem: When the GO Fest was held in Chicago, there was a worldwide event around the GO Fest spawns taking place simultaneously. Rare shinies like Sandan, Kleinstein, or for the first time, Seeper, appeared more frequently in the wild.
If a similar event starts during the Dortmund GO Fest, then Bummelz will likely influence the spawns. The only question is whether Bummelz appears so frequently that it negatively impacts the spawns or if it is just another event Pokémon, like any other monster.
