Since the 2nd generation, one Pokémon in Pokémon GO is still missing: Farb eagle. However, Niantic is now giving clear hints about the Pokémon.
The 2nd generation was released back in early 2017 and most players will have already filled their PokéDex. However, there is still a Pokémon missing between Damhirplex and Rabauz: Farb eagle.
Now there are clear hints about the missing Pokémon. Niantic has not officially said anything about it yet, but the developers are hiding small details in their images on Twitter that hint at Farb eagle.
Here Niantic might hint at Farb eagle
This has been shown: Observant players may have already discovered the hints on Twitter. The cover photo of the official Pokémon GO page has been changed and now shows green color spots.

Also, an image of Spoink was uploaded with a green background. Niantic seems to be hiding a message.
Therefore, they might mean Farb eagle: The missing Pokémon is directly connected to green color. It uses its tail as a kind of brush, distributing green paint. You can still see the color hanging on its tail.
On Reddit, players now agree: It must be hints for Farb eagle. “ShoMeUrNoobs” writes regarding the new cover photo: “Definitely Farb eagle. That’s the only thing that makes sense with this design.”
Why is Farb eagle still not in the game? Why this Pokémon is still missing is not well understood. However, it could possibly be due to its special move.
The Pokémon has a very special attack called “Mimic.” It can replicate any attack from its opponent and execute the same attack.
Whether Farb eagle can learn this attack in Pokémon GO remains to be seen. It could also be due to this attack that Niantic has not released the Pokémon earlier. If Farb eagle can indeed master every attack in the game with Mimic, it could be quite a larger effort for Niantic to program.
