In Pokémon GO there is currently research where you can obtain legendary Pokémon. We explain what you need to do for that.
What kind of research is this? The free limited-time research Path to Sinnoh: Raid Challenge
is part of the current Path to Sinnoh
event. The research is available from Monday, February 19 at 10:00 AM to Friday, February 23 at 8:00 PM.
This research is particularly interesting, as you receive 4 legendary Pokémon as rewards for successfully completing it.
8 Raids, 4 legendary Pokémon
What is included in the research? The research consists of a single step that includes the following tasks and rewards:

| Win 4 raids | Encounter with Heatran |
| Win 6 raids | Encounter with Giratina (Altered Form) |
| Win 8 raids | Encounter with Darkrai |
If you complete the research, you will also receive 5 candies each for the Pokémon Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina.
What exclusive charge attacks are there? If you catch the Pokémon in their respective raid hours in February, the bosses will also receive an exclusive charge attack. These are the following:
- Cresselia: Confusion
- Heatran: Lava Plume
- Giratina (Altered Form): Shadow Force
- Darkrai: Sludge Bomb
What else is special about the bosses? Pokémon you receive from field research are at a lower level than Pokémon you catch in raids. This gives you the opportunity to trade the Pokémon after receiving it with Heatran and Giratina (Altered Form), thus obtaining a specimen that is below 1500 CP and can therefore be used in the Great League.
