In Pokémon GO the big Water Festival 2019 is just around the corner. Two new Shinies and various bonuses are waiting for you.
When does the event start? The Water Festival starts on August 23 at 10 PM and runs until August 30 at 10 PM. It lasts for a total of 7 days.
Of course, this event is all about Water Pokémon, and you will find them in the wild, in raids, and in eggs.
Water Event 2019 – Everything you need to know
What are the bonuses? A large number of bonuses are waiting for you at the event. Here’s an overview:
- Magikarp, Wailmer, Lotad, and other Water Pokémon will appear in the wild
- Near bodies of water, the following Pokémon are expected to appear more frequently: Marshstomp, Quagsire, Golduck, Lapras, Wishiwashi, Mantyke, Lotad, Bagon, Piplup, Buneary, and Finneon
- You will find more Water Pokémon in eggs
- The move Crabhammer will be introduced. Kingler and Krabby can learn it
- Shiny Shelmet and Carvanha will be introduced
- New raid bosses with Water Pokémon like Blastoise, Vaporeon, and Lapras
- A raid hour with the legendary lake trio will take place
- Egg candy will be doubled
- The distance with your buddy Pokémon will be halved if it is a Water type
What is important for shiny hunters? There are various Water Pokémon that can also be shiny. So you can really benefit. Some examples are Magikarp, Wailmer, or Quagsire.
The two new Shinies are easy to recognize because they differ significantly from the normal form. We will show you the shiny versions here:
What do we know about Crabhammer? The values for this move are not available yet, but fans are hoping for a lot here. If Crabhammer is as strong as Hydro Pump, then Kingler will be a better Water attacker than Kyogre.
What you should know about the raid hour: On August 28, a Wednesday, a special raid hour will take place. The legendary lake trio, Mesprit, Uxie, and Azelf, is returning.
In Germany, however, you can only battle Mesprit – just like it was in May.
This is interesting about the event: The Water Festival can be seen almost entirely on the current loading screen. Back then, speculation was made about a possible Water event. Now the spawns are similar, as shown in the picture.
