In the new update of Pokémon GO, Vaporeon has been adjusted and nerfed.

The attack “Water Gun” made Vaporeon particularly strong because it not only had a high damage value but also a high attack speed. The developers at Niantic realized that the Power value of Water Gun is generally too high and reduced it from 10 to 6 Power.

Although Vaporeon has now lost a lot of attack power due to this nerf, it will still be able to endure a lot in battles due to its high stamina value. This nerf hits not only Vaporeon hard but also other water Pokémon that had significant advantages in battles due to Water Gun. However, this is not the only balance change that the new update brought. The damage values of various attacks have been adjusted to make the game (and arena battles) feel more balanced. For example, the damage of the special attack Hydro Pump has been increased by 50%!
In general, we should see fewer water Pokémon fighting in arenas in the coming days. There could soon be more variety in battles, and other Pokémon besides Vaporeon will become favorites among trainers.
