All information on the big Valentine’s Day event
What bonuses are there? This time everything revolves around pink Pokémon. Look forward to the following bonuses:
- Pink Pokémon can be found in the wild, in eggs, in raids, and in quests
- Ohrdoch and Mamolida appear for the first time in Pokémon GO
- Regular lucky eggs will be active for 6 hours during the event
- Double candy for catching Pokémon
- Shiny Wonneira hatches from eggs and Shiny Chaneira appears in the wild
What should you know about Shinies? Although Wonneira is a baby Pokémon, you will also find its evolution Chaneira in the wild as a Shiny. You can recognize the Shiny form of Chaneira easily, while with Wonneira, you have to look a bit closer.
It remains to be seen how rare Chaneira will actually be as a Shiny. It is a rarer Pokémon that typically has a higher Shiny rate. By the end of the event, we will see if this is the case.
You should make use of this: The six-hour lucky eggs are back after a long time. And they are worth it. However, note that only the regular ones count. Moss, Magnet, and Glacier lucky eggs are not affected by this.
What is already known about the quests: Data miners leaked the quests for this event a few weeks ago. They should be available from tomorrow. However, the rewards are still unknown:
- Catch X Flegmon or Flurmel
- Catch X Liebiskus
- Evolve a Hoppspross
- Hatch X eggs
- Defeat X Team GO Rocket grunts
New Raid Day brings Shiny Schlurp
This happens on Saturday: This Saturday, February 15, a new raid day awaits you. For 3 hours, a Schlurp will appear in every arena. This one can also be Shiny with luck.
The raid day runs from 2 PM to 5 PM local time. You have 5 free raid passes available.
What are the chances of Shiny Schlurp? From previous raid days, we know that the Shiny rate is always increased at such events. It has sometimes been as high as 1 in 10. So you have a good chance of encountering a shiny example.
Pokémon Home is also coming for Pokémon GO players. We will show you the benefits:
