Pokémon GO is rolling out update 0.141.0! This update brings numerous small changes and might finally fix a bug that has been present since day one.
What improvements does the update bring? Data miners have searched a lot in the code of the new update and mainly found indications that could point to the resolution of the dodge bug.
Additionally, there are numerous improvements in raids and optimizations for slower smartphones.
When will the update be available? So far, the update can only be downloaded via APK files. It will take a few days until the update is available on every device.
What’s included in update 0.141.0
This indicates the dodge bug: In the code, there is a part named “RemoveFaintedPokemonPredictions”, which translates to “Removes defeated Pokémon predictions”.
Many players relate this to the dodge bug, as it incorrectly shows that your Pokémon is unable to battle, even though it has dodged an attack. This bug has existed since the release of Pokémon GO and has never been fixed until now. This might finally be the case.
These improvements in raids are available: In raids, players are now informed before using the raid pass if their PokéBox is full. This is advantageous because previously, players had to clear the box after the raid before catching the Pokémon. When the raid was over, they had no chance to catch the monster.
Additionally, with the update, as we reported earlier, players can delete raid passes. This was requested by many players.
Adjustments made to Lucky Friends: So far, there was a bug with Lucky Friends that indicated only one side of the two friends is a lucky friend. This resulted in no guaranteed lucky Pokémon.
This bug will be fixed with the upcoming update. So it will be guaranteed to trade Luckys with your Lucky Friends.
These features are also new: Many small changes have also been included in the latest update. These include:
- A jump button for Pokémon in GO Snapshot
- Pokémon in encounters are made more sensitive (probably there will be more precise animations and the ball won’t be simply deflected)
- Extra weak quality for slower phones (game runs smoother)
- Adjustments to the friends list, as it was partially buggy
