The new Pokémon GO update 0.61.0 for Android is currently rolling out and brings changes, a new loading screen, and fixes.
A new patch for Pokémon GO is on the horizon and is expected to fix some bugs soon. However, these are not the only changes. Trainers can look forward to a new loading screen in patch 0.61.0 for Android and 1.31.0 for iOS, which will replace the outdated New Year’s screen.
Since the update for Pokémon GO is currently rolling out, it may take some time before it becomes available on your smartphones. In a rollout, patches are gradually released for different regions and countries.
Patch Notes 0.61.0 Android / 1.31.0 iOS / APK
The new version of Pokémon GO offers support for a new language, an improved scroll bar in the Pokémon collection, various bug fixes, and the popular “minor text corrections.” The patch notes state:
- Support for traditional Chinese language has been added
- The scroll bar in the Pokémon collection has been updated
- Various bug fixes have been made
- Minor text corrections
Trainers on Reddit also discovered that there is another change that the community has been waiting for a while: A new background during the loading process. The last background was changed to New Year and was no longer current. Trainers have wished for a new image in this spot for weeks. This seems to have been implemented in the new patch 0.61.0 in the game.
As experts from TheSilphRoad found out when data mining the 0.61.0 APK, there are also supposed to be performance improvements in the game that may enhance gameplay stability. Trainers have frequently complained about crashes since the last update, which might be fixed with this patch. With the various bug fixes, the game should now run smoother overall.
