In the new update of Pokémon GO, there are changes for trainers around the world – including in Germany. We show you what changes with this update.
Currently, the update is in “Roll out” and is gradually being released for various countries and trainers. When exactly the update will be available on the German Google Play and App Store is still unknown. Once the update is installed on your device, there are the following changes in the game:

On the official “Pokémon GO” website, the developers point out these changes in the game:
- Catching Bonus: For certain species of Pokémon, you can earn a higher catching bonus so that these Pokémon species break out of Poké Balls less often. Here you can find out how the catching bonus works.
- Updated Gym Training: To train in a friendly gym, you can now bring a team of 6 Pokémon. The CP of the battling Pokémon will be temporarily adjusted. This is how the improved gym training works.
- Egg and Incubator Displays: The display for the distance traveled will now be updated regularly. You no longer need to close and reopen the display to see the change in distance.
- Audio issues have been fixed.
- The animation time for evolutions has been reduced.
- Fixing minor bugs.
Now trainers just have to wait for the update to become available so they can try out the new features.
