A new update for Pokémon GO with version number 0.107.1 is on the way. We will show you what changes this patch brings.
A new version is coming soon: The new update 0.107.1 is expected to be available in the app stores in the next few hours. New badges, a new attack, and more Alolan forms are part of the update’s content.
The new content was found during data mining by PokémonGOHub. It is still unclear when all of this will be activated in the game.
New badges in Pokémon GO
The new medals or badges revolve around the features that Niantic recently introduced. Friendship and trading features are at the forefront. There are also badges for the Pokémon GO Fest 2018.

New attack “Hydro Pump”
Possibly for Community Day: A new water attack was found in the code of Pokémon GO. Many players have likely anticipated this, as there is a belief that the next Community Day will take place in July featuring Squirtle. However, this has not yet been officially confirmed.
Hydro Pump was likely introduced for this purpose. We will know for sure when Niantic reveals the exclusive attack for Community Day in July. And that may still take a few weeks.
More Alolan forms like Rattata, Diglett, and Golem
In a livestream, data miner Chrales showed that new sprites for Alolan forms can be found in the code of Pokémon GO. New Alolan forms are expected at GO Fest 2018. Alolan forms may also be found in the new gifts activated through the friendship feature in Pokémon GO.

Confirmation of trade and friends
For the new trading and friends features, the functionalities are now in the code. Niantic stated that they aim to activate the new features by the end of this week.

The code now contains the guidelines for this. For example, you must reach at least level 10 to trade. Also, you cannot trade Pokémon if they are

- Marked with a strikethrough (Spoof)
- Your buddy
- In a gym
- Not fully healed
- or in the “egg not hatched” status. The implications of the egg status are still unclear.
Spinda is coming closer
Scattered in the APK of update 0.107.1, more clues are slowly being found that the release of Spinda is approaching. However, this does not mean that the Pokémon with its many patterns will soon be hiding in the wilderness of Pokémon GO. They are simply continuing to work on it.
