In Pokémon GO the event Dark Flames
has been running for the last few days. However, this has led to some criticism from certain trainers.
What was this event about? The Dark Flames event focused on the Fire and Dark Pokémon types.
In line with this, Pokémon GO introduced a rather unusual component to the game: Through a collector challenge, players could choose a path that determined which type of monsters spawned more from the smoke.
The tasks of the limited research were also influenced. Trainers were thus allowed to shape the event to some extent.
At the same time, Pokémon GO set a rather short timeframe for the event. It ran only from June 29 to July 2 and introduced Turtonator as a new Pokémon that players should raid.
For some trainers, it turned out that this timeframe was perhaps a bit tight.
Trainers still lack certain monsters, and the event ends already
This is what players say: The event has now ended, but some trainers criticize that they did not have enough opportunities to experience all the content. Especially the research was not easy for some to solve, as they simply lacked the right monsters.
Several posts in the reddit community for Pokémon GO (via reddit) report problems finding the required Dark and Fire type Crypto-Pokémon (via reddit). They were needed to complete the research in order to redeem them.
However, some players simply could not find the corresponding grunts that had Fire or Dark monsters within the short time. If one did not have a corresponding monster in storage, completing the task became difficult.
Other trainers, however, report that although they have monsters of the appropriate type, they do not actually want to redeem them – because some Crypto-Pokémon are very strong attackers.

Additionally, the short duration of the event was criticized regarding raids (via reddit). Because if you wanted to utilize the raids but didn’t want to invest money, you needed either the coins from several days for raid and remote raid passes, or at least the opportunity to use the free daily pass.
