In Pokémon GO, it is sometimes quite difficult to obtain certain Pokémon. Especially three legendary Pokémon make the hunt a lengthy affair. But now some trainers believe they have found a trick.
Which Pokémon are we talking about? The three Galar birds are the Galar forms of the three legendary Pokémon Articuno, Moltres, and Zapdos. These were added to Pokémon GO after making their debut in Pokémon Sword and Shield.
In Pokémon GO, these three legendary birds are actually relatively difficult to catch. They can only appear when you are out and about and have activated the daily adventure incense. Even so, the chance of encountering one of the Galar birds remains very low.
Besides having a very low catch rate, the Galar birds also have a very high flee rate. That’s why some players even use the Master Ball when they finally encounter an Articuno, Moltres, or Zapdos. Because if the Pokémon breaks free from the ball even once, the chance of it fleeing is very high.
Is there a secret trick? In the Pokémon GO subreddit, user cutiepatatao believes he is onto a secret. He shares in his post about his experiences with the legendary birds and thinks that the places where they appear are not random at all.
He reports that one day, when he took a different route to school, he encountered both a Galar Zapdos and a Galar Articuno. At first, he thought it was just great luck and posted this on Reddit. Another user’s comment surprised him.
This user claimed to have heard that the three birds have fixed spawn points. A theory that the trainer couldn’t get out of his head and he eventually set out to investigate.
He then walked several days on different routes without encountering a single Galar bird. However, when he again took the same school route as on that lucky day, he reportedly encountered a Galar Zapdos right away.
“Either I have super good luck, which I doubt, or Galar birds really have a fixed spawn point,” the user writes in his post. He then encourages other trainers to follow up on this theory.
What do other trainers say? Some users support this theory by claiming that they have also encountered a Galar bird multiple times thanks to this trick.
Other players just ask in their comments: “You find Galar birds?” Because many players don’t seem to have come across the legendary Pokémon at all. “I’d first have to encounter my first Galar bird,” writes another trainer in his comment.
Whether it was just coincidence that this trainer encountered the birds at the same spot or not, anyone who wants to catch one of the legendary Pokémon and had no luck on the first try might just try to return to the spot of the first encounter.
Have you caught one of the Galar birds? What’s your story behind it? Feel free to write to us in the comments.
