The Battle League in Pokémon GO still causes frustration among many trainers. Strange bugs complicate the game – for example, due to odd victories.
Trainers lose for no reason: When it comes to the Battle League in Pokémon GO, one often faces a dilemma. While the mode itself is fun, annoying bugs spoil the gaming experience. A recently reported bug concerns the outcome of matches.
Trainers lose and don’t know why
Players report issues: In the Pokémon GO subreddit, a player reported that despite actually winning, he was credited with a loss. In his post, user “kamieniarz” (via Reddit), described that he had played four matches, but the set was suddenly rated completely. He won two matches and lost two – but the missing fifth match was also recorded as a loss. In the comments, players report similar problems.

Partially there are also losses that are easier to understand, but are just as frustrating. User “Yindesu” (via Reddit) reports matches that sent the player back to the lobby. Buttons were blocked – at the restart, the match was counted as a loss. Other players report:
- Severe input delays
- Delayed attacks
- Failing shields

A few days ago, another user reported on Reddit about another issue: After winning a match, he put his smartphone in sleep mode without waiting for the victory animation after the battle. He seemed to have acted prematurely.
Even though the match was counted as “fought”, he was not credited the win – similar to “yindesu”. It is advisable not to lock your phone before you are back in the lobby – at least if you want to be completely sure.
The many bugs in the Pokémon GO Battle League seem to remain unresolved. However, there is hope: In an interview Matt Slemon from Niantic confirmed that they are working on the bugs.
