Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres have been available as Galar versions in Pokémon GO since summer 2022, but the three legendary birds are not easy to catch. We want to know: How many of you have caught them – if any? Take part in the survey.
The problem with the Galar birds: A new item landed in Pokémon GO on July 26, 2022: The Daily Adventure Incense.
You can activate it once a day to receive increased spawns for 15 minutes – sometimes even rarer ones than usual. At least as long as you keep moving. The “grand prize” is, so to speak, the three legendary birds Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres in their Galar variant.
However, as of today, no reliable pattern has been established for how to get the three birds to spawn. It seems you just need luck for them to appear – and even then, catching them is not guaranteed.
Rare, hard to catch – Did you have success?
Besides the rare appearances, the birds come with another challenge: a very low catch rate combined with a very high flee rate.
This means it is quite unlikely that they will stay in the Pokéball when you hit them, but it is quite likely that they will flee if the catch attempt is unsuccessful.
In short: it is not easy to add the Galar birds to your monster collection. Trainers noticed that shortly after the release of the birds.
Now, almost 5 months later, we want to know from you: Did you manage to catch any? And if so: How many times?
Tell us in the survey how many of the monsters you have already caught – or if you have even seen them at all.
What do you generally think about Adventure Incense? Do you still use it regularly to chase the birds and other spawns, or has this feature worn off for you? Tell us in the comments!
Also, aside from the Galar birds, there is a lot going on in Pokémon GO. The new season has begun and December brings lots of events and content. You can find an overview of the December events in Pokémon GO here.
