In Pokémon GO, the Alola season has begun and brought trainers the first new monsters of Generation 7. Now, the reddit community is discussing upcoming C-Days and possible event moves of the new monsters. We at MeinMMO will show you what’s going on.
Which monsters are involved? Since March 1, 2022, the new season in Pokémon GO has been running under the name Alola season. For the next 3 months, everything will revolve around the Pokémon of Generation 7, that is, the Alola region. This includes monsters like Robball and Flamiau.
After the first new monsters have already been found in the game for a few days, some trainers are wondering which monsters will be found in the upcoming Community Days in April and May and which special moves they will learn for this occasion.
Thus, the reddit user GriffconII is already contemplating this and sharing his thoughts with the community.
3 event moves that trainers wish for
In his reddit post, the user GriffconII reflects on his thoughts regarding the new Gen 7 Pokémon and possible event moves. He asks for the community’s opinions and writes: “With the excitement around Gen 7 finally coming to fruition, a thought crossed my mind: what will the Community Day moves for the starters be?”.
He further explains that the Alola Pokémon have a range of special moves, of which the starter Pokémon are not excluded. In the past, starter Pokémon have typically learned moves like Flora Statue, Lohekanonade, and Aquahaubitze, but he hopes that it may be different for Alola.
From his perspective, it seems possible that the Alola starters could receive the following 3 event moves:
- Silvarro (evolution of Bauz): Shadow Bind
- Primarina (evolution of Robball): Foam Serenade
- Fuegro (evolution of Flamiau): Dark Lariat
What does the community say about the special moves of the Alola starters?
His suggestion leads to much discussion in the reddit community. Some trainers would also be excited about the introduction of special moves. The reddit user duel_wielding_rouge could imagine that Niantic wants to implement a version of the Z-Moves in the game, where a release of the special moves would also be conceivable (via reddit.com).
Z-Moves are special moves in the Pokémon series, introduced in Pokémon Sun and Moon, which are associated with Generation 7. Z-Moves are particularly powerful and can therefore be useful in both the PvP league and raids.
They can be used once by each Pokémon during a battle. To trigger them, trainers need a Z-Ring and a Z-Crystal. However, both items are not yet available in Pokémon GO, and there are currently no concrete indications that they will be introduced soon.
What speaks against the release of special moves: Nevertheless, many reddit users also express their concerns. The reason for this is that Niantic has not yet introduced all special moves for many Pokémon from other regions, such as Hoenn.
For this reason, trainers like dabomerest suspect that the Alola starters will again get the typical moves, like the other starters before (via reddit.com).
Possible Pokémon in the upcoming C-Days
Furthermore, some trainers have doubts that the Alola region starter Pokémon will even be included in raids soon. Some reddit users are already speculating in the comments about which monsters could be the focus during the next C-Days (via reddit.com):
- EcksEcks: “Since the Community Day with Sandan is just around the corner, I could imagine that we will see more C-Days for Kanto/Alola forms in the coming months (Vulpix, Digda, Sleima, Kleinstein, etc.)”
- Teban54: “My prediction: Kleinstein and Sleima for April and May.”
- Scary-Wishbone-3210: “I think you are close, except that we usually see something related to Easter in April. So if Owei gets a C-Day this year, it will be the next one. Then we would either get Sleima OR Kleinstein. After that, it will be the end of the Alola season. The other will come back later as a C-Day.”
Which monsters will actually appear during the two Community Days in April and May and whether the Alola starters might still receive their special moves remains to be seen. If there is new information from Niantic on this, you will of course find out here at MeinMMO.
Which Pokémon would you like to see for the last two Community Days during the Alola season? Do you think Niantic will resort to the Alola starters for this? And are you also hoping for the special moves? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
On Sunday, March 13, the next C-Day is around the corner and will focus on two Pokémon. We will show you, what content you can expect for the Community Day with Alola-Sandan and Sandan.
